5th Annual UK Animal Law Conference: Call for Papers open until 28th January 2025

The UK Centre for Animal Law (A-LAW) and Birmingham City University’s Animals, Nature & Society Research Stream are excited to announce they will co-host the 5th Annual Animal Law Conference on 4-5 June 2025 at Birmingham City University, UK.  

The call for papers for the conference is open until 28th January 2025 and full details can be found here. Abstracts of 400 words should be submitted to [email protected] before the deadline. You may apply to present for between 15-20 minutes either individually or with colleagues. Applications are also welcome to host 1-2 hour workshops. All presentations must be delivered in-person. 

The theme for this year’s conference is Using Law to Advance Effective Animal Protection and academics, students, practitioners and advocates are encouraged to present or attend. 

Keynote speakers include Justin Marceau, Chris Packham and David Thomas. Details about registering for the conference will be announced in February 2025.
